Hey,

Im getting increasingly drawn underground for exploration, ive had a couple of basic adventures im looking for some teams or clubs to get out on some planned trips local to Newcastle and the Lakes. Im well trained in rescue and confined spaces and have gas detectors to use from my job as im a pipe layer.

Any Information or help would be excellent, thankyou very much!

Hi.

There are no formal clubs as such in the North East, everyone is pretty much self starting.

There are plenty of options in the Lakes though starting with the basic walks organised by Ian Tyler at the Keswick Mining Museum.

Then theres MOLES (although I think you're better off talking to Ian Tyler direct about this, the website doesn't seem to get updated much)

And CATMHS

Ian Tyler is excellent but does not allow me as I am too young !
