Leri Valley AKA Pendinas, if they have the location correct, I know the farmer.
Odd. I explored it and it was surveyed by David James. No bang left in there and it would be inert by now anyway. I never got down to the deep adit though, it was reported to me to be watered out. I dropped the shaft in there but not the final bit, I seem to remember foul rope issues. Been a long time.

Just to give an update on this, the explosives weren't in a mine at all, they were found at Simon Hughes' old residence at Leri Mills, in a garden shed, the new owners of the house I understand dragged the box to the edge of the river and called the bomb squad, apparently not much of a bang...

Well there we are, the press again, nowhere near my old mate Dafydd's. Coincidentally, he was at school with Simon.
I believed that the last of Simons bang was used up at Camdwrbach when George Hall reopened the mine, he insisted on hanging around and ended up dodging falling debris as big as motor cars, so the story goes.
There were 2 magazines in the woods behind Leri Mills I believe, probably been moved.
I used to stay with Simon Saturday nights when I was digging in Altycrib.
