It's not Bondog Hole, that's a bit further to the east. The 1999 plan is wrong in naming it Samuel Vein, the vein those old workings are on is named as Quarry Vein on the Barmaster's map and as well as the workings on the old mans level, the vein is exposed in the cutting leading to the Hopton Wood entrance to Middleton Mine - the level runs underneath the cutting.Derwent South : Bondog Hole : Details
