Interesting discovery made with ROV submersible

I visited Cwm Bach lead mine (Rhayader) on the weekend with Al and his wife Lois from the YouTube channel Lost Mines to ROV this flooded winze.
The ROV wasn't able to fit past the wooden platform around 6ft down but we did discover a short level directly below the 5 meter level, in this level sits this frame, on the footage I believe I saw another winze below it so can only imagine that it is in fact a windlass, but unlike any I've seen before...

Has anyone else encountered one similar?

Hopefully we'll be back to try and explore further.

A windlass on a horizontal frame?, no, I have never seen one like that.

Chris.

Not completely convinced myself it is a windlass . The frame isn’t the common style , image 5 doesn’t seem to show that the suggested part spins 100%

May be remains of another structure ?

I've a recollection that there are picked slots for a horizontal windlass frame over one of the smaller winzes in Deep Ecton Mine.

Could it have ran in a notch or groove? I wondered if it might have had a band over the top to secure it and then heavily greased, can't see such a thing from the footage, but I can't think what else it could be

definitely not trying to know what I am looking at as I dont . Sometimes you always see what you want to see .
