Dropped across an adit on Hitter hill whilst out walking the dog this morning,I've found mention of the workings in a pdmhs document and wondered if anyone has any more info?going back tommorow for a poke around

How did you get on mark on the re visit ?
 
Pretty much everything known is in Chris Heathcote's Mining History article on Hartington Liberty, I don't think there was anything else given in the newsletter when he first reported it?
 
Thanks Tom and Ar,the adit turned out to be a trail on the lower part of the vein with another further up the hill.Following the vein over the top of the hill revealed many surface belllpit type workings,the lower adit is clearly someone's dining room,never have I seen so many fresh bones in one place,farmer must be abit out of pocket.Thanks AR will give it another read,really interesting area.
