'Tyllan Mine' location?

Whilst perusing some mineral specimens recently at the Natural History Museum, I came across this sample of stilpnomelane - an alumunosilicate mineral usually occuring with iron deposits. The location name given, as can be seen is 'Tyllan Mine' Dolgelley. The use of Dolgelley rather than Dolgellau suggests the sample may be quite old.

As to the location of Tyllan Mine?

The 2 candidates I guess are Tyllau Mwn, which lies about 7 miles to the east. Certainly Tyllan is evocative of Tyllau.
The other option I guess would be the Tir Stent/Bryncastell iron workings near Cross Foxes which is about 2 miles to the east, although nothing on the map at that vicinity equates to Tyllan.
