Via Gellia

I was driving up the Via Gellia earlier today and spotted a stream running out of the hillside, just down dale from Tufa cottage (same side), there is a mine level at road level just up dale from the stream is this a normal occurrence ?

Have no idea about the stream but looks like quite a few trees have been recently felled going by the colour of the stumps……maybe something has been disturbed by tree work or by trees falling and lifting up root plate

Yes and no, because we've not had normal weather. That stream usually sinks into the rocks further up the hillside, it's clearly visible at the top when you visit Slaley Sough.

The Adit you picture becomes pretty much shrouded in foliage during summer. Inside it also has a flow of water coming in from part way up the left hand side wall which i guess would result in a fairly high level of water along the adit at the moment after recent rainfalls, and because of the lack of drainage at the Entrance.
