Jal, sent you an email.if you don't get it , never seen anything like your pic at botallack, looks like ancient workings on wheal boscowen in the nancherrow valley, or lots of tunnels on the upper path at botallack near to Allens shaft called the grylls bunny, a horizontal ore bed worked from a deep pit with chambers and tunnels going from it, unfortunately partly filled with the waste from the excavation of Allens shaft.
you need to give a bit more detail as to where you took the pic.

Hidden entrance
If you are positoned at the lower engine house with it to your right, look toward the path on the cliff. is there an entrance up there?
