Burlington are planning on doing mine tours in this section. So far the adit has been cleared, and gravelled over making it more sutible to access. The internal areas have been photographed, though these are currently elswhere. PArt of the tip has been constructed as a car park. Clearance of rock and other debris will soon begin (hopefully!!):; whether a rail track will be reconstructed is unknown.

Most of these photos were taken about six moths ago, but since my last visit there seems to be some digging going on in the adit cutting, though what this is for I've no idea. Unless someone finds out, I wouldn't advise entery through this level at the time being. The other levels are more difficult, one being flooded with clay, the other (the window) on the crag behind the quarry's workshops, and the other at the top of the crag in a 25 ft deep pit, which falling into would be pretty painful! - though it could be abseiled. If asking, the working quarry is shut at weekends.
