Gravelhill mine location

The locoation and name for the mine came from the 1886 OS Map, Can't comment on photos though!

hang on a minute.......

Gravel Hill Mine in Penhale Corner is the one with the pond and the 3 levels (adits) the bottom one is under water, the second two are grilled for bats. I'm not sure where your mine is but it's not this one. By the way, I'd be curious to find out which mine the adit (blocked up and blasting water everywhere) halfway between Droskyn and Penhale points are. They obviously blocked it up for a good reason. Hmmm Stu
