Master Site Map

Gwynedd Cave and Pothole Club produced a trip report (complete with plan and section) in Ogofa No4. This used to be online, but I can't locate it now.

Llanberis Copper Mine

Main adit to SE workings NOT under water. Its in the "Park" adjascent to the layby and secured with a steel grill. Ecton Potholing Club made a full exploration in the early 1980s and I have a write up somewhere. Unfortunately, its written in "caving speak" that is "avens", "pitches" and similar nonsense and tells us nothing about the mine. This is unfortunate as they took considerable risk. Briefly mentions childrens clog prints etc RF
