9515 should carry the description of 9514 as it shows the engine bed to left of the winding and pumping engine house. To right is the downcast shaft at least 280 feet deep and still open behind its wall. Off shot to left was the upcast shaft, now infilled. Lost in the jungle in the background is the massive concrete magazine. 9514 was taken from the floor level of the main winding house at LUMPSEY MINE and shows, from left, the capped and filled upcast shaft, base of pumping engine (1880 and extended 1908) then to right a square concrete tower which supported the weighbridge inside the heapstead. Nearby is the capped downcast shaft, originally over 600 feet deep.
