Update

'Burlington slate' once operated the quarry, however the quarry is still owned by Burlington slate; 'although not being used'. Whether that applies to the Disused part I'm not sure?

Unfortonatly access to moss rig is denied. Although the main quarry workings are disused, there is a large area of modern tipping and on top of the tips a large area of disused dressing floors are still in place along with a lot of nicely piled slate. THis quarry may or may not be working but the given infomation doesn't imply that the tipping areas discribed are legal to access without permision.
