Master Site Map

Reason

The reason for the opening was that a group of Archaeologists from coniston, were excavating the working. They have now moved up from this level and have reached Moss Head middle level.

Access

CATHMS visited the workings in this mine in the late 1990's. They took only photographs and after they had made a visit they sealed the entrance. There is now a hole in the wall they made, just enough to squeeze through. Will the next person to visit this site please not disturb anything and make some ettempt to re-seal the entrance as the site is dangerous as should not be entered.
