Allegedly the most haunted mine around! If rigged with two ropes you can have banter on the way in and out, and no one gets left alone with "T'Owd man" at the bottom! Be nice to them and dont whistle. Of course some say it just due to the effects of CO2 build up and narcossis... but that is just too prosaic

No known access restrictions, park at end of green lane and cross stile into field. Leave the shaft cap secure, and also leave it closed while you are underground.
