Please note: this working is on Private land, (in somebody's back yard) so access is limited. Visiting isn't reccomended, there isn't much to see save a small quarry, with a cave running in from its rear. Most of the tips are on the shores of Rydal Water. The older workings are above, on the hillside, though they're perhaps not worth the effort getting up to.

White Moss is basically a small working on the side of Rydal Water. It consists of several small quarries (now used as carpark), a large outcrop working on the hill above and a small Cave Working which is in someone's back yard. I myself haven't visited this working but my farther-in-law did about 12 years ago; he says.. its basically like any other cave working and at that time was completely overgrown. Judging by the photographs it issimilar to other cave workings in the area like... Rydal Cave, Thrang Crag and Elterwater (old).
