Cwmorthin Slate Quarry: Cwmorthin Old Vein - NEW GROUND (Public)

We left the pulley on a slab just a few feet from where it had been hanging for the last 100 years. You can also see a hammer with a broken handle and some sort of hanger, all found in that same chamber.

We decided to leave them there for their own protection as the chamber cannot be reached without considerable effort.
